There are very few easy or accessible ways to promote your music (or any other art) if you're truly an independent - but there are ways to be heard, to get feedback and even airplay if you're patient and genuine about what you do. Uploading tracks to the BBC introducing site and taking part in the weekly Fresh On The Net listening post is one of the more welcoming (though no less competitive) ways to test out your tunes.
